Within this repair instruction we will be using our TEROSON Premium Line Polishing Compound which combines the compounding and polishing step into one thanks to an agglomerate-based grain that breaks down to a finer grit during application.
Clean and pre-treat with TEROSON VR 20. Abrade the paint inclusion with sanding paper P1500 or P2000. Clean sanded surface with TEROSON VR 100 using a lint-free cloth.
Apply TEROSON WX 159 on hard pad and compound the sanded surface with a rotary polishing machine in the direction of the sanding marks. Perform at low speed for 45 seconds.
Then increase the speed to use th finest grain for finish preparation. Follow ideal rotation movement. Clean the surface afterwards from paste residues.
Apply TEROSON WX 178 XP to a soft pad and the finish the polished surface with the rotary polishing machine. Move slowly and evenly in overlapping motions to avoid holograms and produce a glossy surface. Clean surface again of paste residue for last step.
To seal the newly finished paint, a protective coat is necessary. Apply TEROSON WX 189 with a soft pad. Clean surface with microfibre cloth. The glossy surface is now sealed and protected.
There are different steps within a polishing process. Here you see the surface change from pre-polishing to protection. In our TEROSON Polishing Compounds range we use the colour coded caps to indicate for which step the product is used.
