In vehicle repair it is crucial to reproduce the same quality and visual appearance provided by the original OEM seams to avoid corrosion. With the below instruction you can recreate ribbed beads using flatstream or widestream (acoustic) beads.
STEP 1

Heating Cartridge
Heating the product allows easy application (lower pressure) and smooth texture. Pre-heat cartridges in the heating device (max. 60°C).
NOTE: Remove bottom lid from cartridge before heating.
STEP 2

Surface Preparation
Remove all contamination from the surfaces and pretreat the sealing area with TEROSON VR 20.
STEP 3

Preparation Cartridge
Remove bottom cover and open cartridge. Screw on nozzle tightly.
Insert cartridge and adjust nozzle to working position. Horizontal or vertical application. Use the stabilising ribs for guidance during application.
STEP 4

Air pressure adjustment
Adjust main air pressure on supply unit to between 6 bar (min) and 10 bar (max). Adjust application pressure on TEROSON ET GUN POWERLINE II handle.
STEP 5a

Producing flatstream beads
Applying the seam sealant with nozzle contact on the surface; 3 to 7 bar application pressure required with TEROSON ET GUN POWERLINE II. Applying seam sealant at a distance of 5 to 10 cm from the surface requires higher application pressure e.g. 10 to 15 bar with TEROSON ET GUN POWERLINE II.
STEP 5b

Producing widestream beads
Before applying sealant, tape beginning and end of the application area. Remove the masking tape before the beads form a skin. Widestream bead (to reproduce acoustic applications) 8 to 12 cm in width = pressure at 15 to 22 bar and distance to surface of 8 to 12 cm.

Additional application tools
There are different application tools that can simplify the application. E.g. the flexible hose allows you to work even in areas with minimal space. A spacer can be used to keep equal distance to the surface or to guide along the edges.
